My husband and I decided to come and visit your church today, October 9th, because we are looking for a church to call home. We walked in with our 3 kids and our grandson and no one came up to introduce themselves or make us feel welcomed. I understand that you and your wife were not there but even at the after service meal no one said anything to us. We felt so out of place and awkward, like we were not welcome to the church, not even by the board members. We were really looking forward to checking out the church and was very disappointed by the cold shoulders that we got from everyone. I even tried to start up a conversation after service with the woman in front of us and I felt like to odd one out. I really hope and pray that this is not the normal way that newcomers are treated by your congregation.
